??? I was hoping to see lots of folks' photos of gorgeous flowers and produce but most of the galleries are empty :(

The gallery is a recent addition to the forum and I think most of us have our own websites. Most of the posts have pictures where relevant and there is a lot of work duplicating everything in galleries.

Perhaps there could be some way of showing whether a gallery actually as photos in it or not?

some on ours, grannie  ;D

What a productive plot you had. There is nothing as exciting to me as seeing ground produce like that! Thank you for posting all those pictures. What is the purpose of the upside down bottles on sticks? Have you found growing plants in car tires speeds up growth compared to just black plastic?  Thank you again.

As they say in the Internet business, any publicity is good publicity, and free publicity is the best publicity.

I think it's for protection for your eyes if you bend down near to the sticks.
Plus they also rattle in the wind and scare the pigeons away  ::)

right in one, lauren..the bottles are kept for that, the tyres are above manure pits for the squash etc, we dig a pit, fill with manure, cover with soil to a mound and plant our plants in it, the tyre gives it more protection and, if it gets cold, I can fling some fleece over and anchor it

I tried and didn't manage it, still waiting for a young person to help me but she's always far to busy plucking her eyebrows and such. ::)

She's 24 Lauren, the youngest, and she owes me money. ;D
I'll re-read the instructions again and see if I can do it. Got the folder all set up, just couldn't transfer it. Operator error no doubt.
