Well JRP - you sound like you are all for introducing SHARIA LAW into our civilisation?  The Old testament did state and eye for and eye and the New Testament, which is the basis of law in GREAT BRITAIN advises us to turn the other cheek and to not judge people.

SHARIA LAW all up for public stonings, chopping of hands, gang rapes, etc. etc.  But most of GREAT BRITAIN are not all up for SHARIA LAW.

JRP are you aiming to take us forward or backwards?

Or maybe JRP you are of no religious persuasion and just like the idea of maiming someone?  This is an allotment website mate, not really the place for horror stories about chopping people to bits in a That'll Show'em fashion!

I find it interesting that  the Bible (OT)  may say an eye for an eye, but I don't think it says a hand for a theft - more that the thief one should repay at least double what was been stolen (e.g. four times in the case of sheep) - no mention of physical punishment that I'm aware of.
