Suggest you pop into the chat room of an evening when ninnyscrops or myself are there, we will give you lots of listening ideas via youtube (a great way to hear suggestions ...)

In there most evenings from about 10pm on, you can see if we are there from the chatroom info on the forum page ...

Benefit of youtube, it is instant, no waiting on downloads, also other similar tracks are often suggested ...

Two things I'm listening to at the moment, both hard and fast!!

Kofin Kats       http://www.myspace.com/koffinkats               I love psychobilly  ;D
Grinderman    http://www.grinderman.com/                          Nick Cave too!!

for mellow moments!!!!

I must say I'm listening to Sandy Denny, she's got such a great voice
Richard Thompson has got a new album out that's not so hard or fast, loving it!

Just been given the Proclaimers newest cd,'Life without You', it's brilliant and I'm going to see them on Monday ;D. Also Annie Lennox's latest 'Songs of Mass Destruction', great stuff too. ( you can tell I've had a birthday can't you 8))
Smile, it confuses people.

happy birthday to maggie, happy birthday to maggie, nearly forgot ya  ;D

Linda Thompson has also got a new album out which we're enjoting! We went to see Humphrey Lyttleton and his band last weekend and bought his "Cornucopia" album- a good one for any jazz fans.

how about KT Tunstall Drastic Fantastic or really early ZZ Top such as Deguello or Fandango? these are my faves to cook to at the mo  ;D

Uncle Joshua

Try Nik Kershaw, he's done far more than most people know about and his last three albums are far better than his 80's stuff.

Talking of YouTube, is it possible to actually download stuff from there? I came across a whole heap of Canon Rock stuff, and I would hate it to be removed without being able to get a copy.

Hot_Potato

well!      I don't suppose it will appeal to everyone but..........I'm just loving a set of 3 cd's that I sent for of the wonderful background music that has been used in the last couple of series of Rick Stein's programmes plus one of his own choices - they are

A Taste of Music               2003
French Odyssey               2005
Mediterranean Escapes   2007

all the music is provided by Crocodile Music and is available from www.crocodile music.com

I ordered on-line and received 2 of the 3 discs back almost by return but had to wait a bit longer for the third as it had gone for 're-pressing'

the music is so relaxing and I often have it playing in the background while I'm on the computer  ;)

It was years before I heard any "Sandy Denny" other than on Zep4
