Moving some wire cages on Friday with Tony and walking backwards. He went a bit faster tha me and my arms went back over my head (comical scene eh!) I felt my back go but after amoan I took no notice. Carried on over the weekend and by Monday morning was in real pain. Tony got me some thermal heat pads but they are not easing it so have go to the quacks tonite. I have to sit on the computer chair cos its nice and high. Just wish it could have happened last week while Mom was away and it was raining, (sods law). I have been promoted to Superviisor now.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Aw Shirl! Let us know how you get on at docs. You're right, it's typical that it's this week when you need to get on, not when it's peeing it down! Feel better -  :-*
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

Sympathise Shril.  I bet your as bad a patient as me and can't sit still!  Good luck at the quacks.

Doc say's it's muscle damage, just take pain killers and don't aggravate it. Gave me a dressing down for not having my thyroid levels checked for 18 months. Thats the problem when you feel ok you just get on with it. Can't stand delegating though. All Tony can hear is ooohh and aaaah when I try to bend down. All I get is why don't you ask if you wantsomething done. lol Did manage to put some beetroot into some 6" pots. Thought we would try some for an experiment.Have sown 6 to a pot.

Have you thought about an osteopath or chiropractor. I see the latter regularly but when it is muscular pain ( I suffer from fibromyalgia) I see an acupuncturist. Both treatments are brilliant & I just rest for a day after chiropractic treatment.

I've found a new gel, called biofreeze, it's wonderful for pain, I always find that heat makes it worse..this takes away the pain so i can sleep  :)

Shirley Really sorry to hear about your back. It can happen so easily. Hope you can manage to sleep tonight. As another sufferer of back problems (seems to be so many people young and old who suffer) I can sympathise with you. You will just have to do as you are told otherwise the healing period will take longer.
Manic have made a note of that gel!!

Manic, Tony went to the chemist this morning and they had never heard of it. Where did you get it from. I sure need it

If you are prone to back probs Shirl, have a look at an elastic back support belt. I have one and it's great. I got mine from a physio, but a friend recently got one from Argos and says he's very impressed.
Hope it soon feels better, keep up the pain relief and I hope that Tony is serving your every whim and fancy ;)
Smile, it confuses people.

Well we got into Boots at 10.30 only to find that they hadn't got the bloomin stuff. Tried Holland and Barretts and they had it. Over £8 it was.  I put some on as soon as we got home and I felt relief straight away so it was worth every penny. Trouble is that Hand B is next door to bl***y Wilkies ain't it. Had to go in didn't I. Came out with 2 suitcases. Yep me and Tone are going on holiday to Tunisia in October now that me Moms ok with going into respite. I didn't but anything to do with gardening and thats a first.lol Thanks for the info everyone
