It seems to be my lucky day I think.... :-\

Hospital have just rung me with a cancellation to have my gall bladder removed...

ON MONDAY!

After manic child care arrangements, it seems that I will be able to have the bloody thing out at last!!!!

Operations definitely seem to be in the air and the date that I can eat a decent curry again is ever closer....

Bit scared though ::)

Oh congratulations.......I think! :-\ ;)

Everyone in my family, well the laydees, back to my Grandmother have had it done.........except me! (Crossing fingers n toes!)

They all said how fab they felt afterwards, and yes, you can eat whatever you want again!

Hopefully you are going keyhole, Sis had it done this way and was up and about in no time! ;D

At least with it being a cancellation, you wont have too many days to be scared! ::)
Hope you are eating that curry soon.......ohh, now I fancy a flippin curry, just a mention of the word............

Enjoy the rest in hospital!

Hey coznbob - chuffed for you in a weird sort of way  :-\  Don't know much about this sort of thing, but i'm sure you'll be back to your usual self in no time, do take it easy tho while recovering.  Best of luck for Monday x
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

Thank you...

It is keyhole, so I am planning to be out as soon as possible.

The biggest problem is that Rob isn't allowed to take the time off work, so we have been panicing about the kids, but think we have it sorted now. Older 3 can  go to breakfast club at school, little one can go to Nannies and then rob can leave work in time for school pick ups and then make the rest of the time up in the coming weeks! :(

Not sure what the recovery time is supposed to be, know that I can't pick the little ones up for a bit or drive... grrr.  But considering I'll be pain free and can eat what I want to I don't care. Have been waiting for 6 years to get this sorted.

I know compared to what some people go through that it is no big deal, but I am just so sick of being in pain and am very lucky that it can be resolved. ;D

Had mine out in 2005, took nearly a year to work out what was wrong with me!

Have felt fine ever since, yes a bit 'rummaged -about-with' afterwards, but it will be nothing compared to a bad attack that you have already experienced I'm sure!
Hope all goes well! ;D ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Good luck with the op, my dad had one removed a few years ago, just remember you heal quicker if you drink plenty and i mean water not beer! Lol.
The grass is never green on the other side, so improve the lawn you have!

You will be just fine, John had his done as an emergency and he went back to work after 2 weeks,I am not suggesting you do this as he was in a job that he didn't lift and could take it easy, but he felt remarkably well even a few days later.

You could order your curry next week XXX Jeannine

ray had keyhole for a gall bladder op and we couldn't believe how ill he'd been before..he feels heaps better now..just watch it with heavy, fatty meals..you don't have the extra bile with no gall bladder

Am now back in the land of the living, having spent the past few days sleeping off the anaesthetic. ;D

Sore, swollen and a bit frustrated at not being able to do much, but it can only get better from here...

I have been banned by Rob from going to the plot for the next 2 weeks! In my pre op haste to get everything out I planted out all my French Beans and toms and am desperate to know whether they have survived or not! :o
