Yippe.  Only to see the consultant, but not as long a wait as the doctor thought it would be.  May 3rd.  Then the next wait will be for the operation.  Hopefully winter time so life in the garden/allotment/work will be quiet.  Very much looking forward to having this seen to as it is much more achey these days.

Good luck with your doctor's visit EJ when it comes!  It will be good to have an idea when the op is then you can start to plan around it. Hope it all goes well for you. love busy_lizzie

Delighted for you, EJ. I've played that waiting game myself and it's no fun.

Good luck EJ. Hope you get it done soon. OH had one and he was much better after the operation.

Wicker

EJ, is a hernia not unusual in someone of your age (young I mean!) - in my ignorance I always associated it with middle-aged+ men?  Anyway glad your appointment has come thru - now just got to hope it doesn't get canceled  :-*

FIL had his done a couple of weeks ago & is itching to get on with all the digging...but we are keeping a tight rein on him so he makes a full recovery ;D...hope all goes well with you EJ.

Don't know Wicker.  The GP wasn't all that suprised....childbirth....digging etc being the blame.

And I am mid 30's now.....my nan gets great pleasure telling me I am nearly 40!  :P

Apparently, gall stones only happens to older people too. Was the not so proud owner of these at age 21!

Had a hell of a time trying to make doctors take me seriously, now am finally on the waiting list to have them out at age 27!

So know how you feel, and good luck! ;D
Smile at your enemies.

It makes them wonder what you are up to.

hernias are not just for older people (or, indeed spring chickens like EJ) they are very common in baby boys. my little one had to have one sorted out when he was abut three.  good luck EJ i am sure you will be fighting fit in no time.

Jeannine

My John had one year before last, I dropped him at the hospital on my way to work and picked him up on the way home, he was eating his dinner at 7pm.we've come a long way since you took to your bed for a full week after childbirth.

Good Luck ,no that's not right,.... heal quickly XX Jeannine
