Aren't they incredible to watch when having a bath?!
Watched a crow bathing in a puddle the other day, he was having such a lovely time and the sun turned his feathers into a rainbow of colours...amazing! Totally changed my view of crows!

;)

have you noticed it's only the babies that take a bath ?  the parents don't bother.  :o

Guess what?  A few weeks ago I saw a Robin taking a bath in a puddle in a car park. It was so cute. First time I've ever seen a Robin out of season so to speak. His little red breast was brick brown. Aaaaw.

My gang of sparras are forever bathing, young and old.  I have one water dish next to the pond and some of the young uns are just about walking on water.  They do love the water.   This morning a young blackie used 'their' dish and they crowded round and watched him.  as if to say,  get off thats my water!!!!!  Silly fool here went out after him and topped up the plate with fresh water.   Daft eh!   couldnt care.   ::) ::) ::)

Gardengirl

Great photos Mrs KP :)  That is one thing I am missing at the moment, the sight of the blackbirds enjoying a splash about in the stream on our pond :'(
Happy gardening all...........Pat

i've often thought there must be benefits to living in the west.  this summer, i've learned why !  we had a glorious july (for us anyway), so we were happy with the heat and happily playing with the hose, but we have enough water to survivie.

my kinda town.

As a born and bred Weegie I can empathise with that. Still like Edinburgh though - it's a smallish and manageable capital city and very pretty and open to fields, hills, sea etc. And Glasgow's less than an hour away. ;)
