Went to check-up on the plot today, and sure enough the pop-up greenhouse had blown down  :(. The peppers and basil plants will have to do without cover for a while as there's no point in putting it back up in this weather. Luckily the greenhouse had blown away from the plants so the peppers were not damaged. Plenty of leaves ripped of my pumpkins and strawberries though.
Lots of flattened broad beans in other plots. I'll make sure put up supports when I grow them next year.
How is everyone else coping witrh this weather?

i was looking at my broades getting battered last night so rushed out with miles of fleece around their cage to provide some protection.  i think they appreicated it this morning.

Worried all day about the shading on my greenhouse blowing away, but it held in place - phewie!  Poor old plants on the allotment were getting blown all over the place.  Glad I wasn't sowing seeds or trying to pin fleece down today!

I bought some of these tent pegs a little while ago and they've worked a treat. My carrot tunnel fleece had blown off, I've now pegged it down with the tent pegs and it's still in place a few days later. They also work well holding down the cloches. No need to put holes into the fleece/cloches because the pegs have a little hook at the top which you can tuck the fleece under and then push firmly into the ground and it stays put. These are 30cm/12" pegs.

I use similar Jesse.  Very handy!  Your poor runners MT.  I won't get to the plot until Friday (unless I can do a sneaky visit tomorrow afternoon  :-\) so fingers are tightly crossed that all is well.
