BL
buttercrunch letuce is yurrrrmmmeee - I could  send you some to try if you like.
PM me your address & they'll be on their way  ;)

I tend to go for the mixes of leaves as I find them easier to use as with no water, bolting is a real problem, however I am growing

lollo rosso
red oak leaf
Australian Yellow leaf (or something to that affect)
romaine
italian mix
spicy mix
and have lots more which I sow wherever gaps occur.

If anyone has any spare little gem seeds - even just a pinch, I wouldn't mind. ;D

busy_lizzie

Thanks Terri that would be great, -  I have pm'd you!

EJ I have some Little Gem seeds, just send me your pm and I will get them straight off. I love these too as they are such a tasty lettuce.

Hi all,
nobody has mentioned dellicato, this is a lovely red loose leaf variety that you can grow as cut & come again or leave & pick as small whole lettuces, I grew it last year  &  you can keep cutting it  &  it just keeps growing .   ;D brilliant.

LOL!! Do you think the "drunken woman" has been at my "Sangria"? :P  (Now how did I miss one in the catalogues with a name like that? ::))

I'm also growing Pablo and Mascara from VidaVerde.  Both coloured lettuces, said to be slow to bolt...

And some cos: Valmaine, Chicon Batavia and Rusty.  Though the seed are rather old, so I'm not sure if they'll germinate but what the heck - nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Oh, and a whole loada other leaves and flowers to go in salads...
