So wrong - but I do get embarrassed by the number of times my name appears. Just love it when it's all someone else's.
Think again?

0600 Tea - check & answer mail - offload any bees-in-bonnet onto A4A - dispose of 500+ spammy things
0630 Put cauli to soak for cauli cheese
0645 Riddle fire, empty ash, refill, get coal from shed - still in nightwear
0700 Tea for 'upstairs' - news
0730 Bath
0800 Get papers - sort - tea- read papers - check blood pressure - take pill
0830 Check greenhouse - open up - move around - add heat, light
0900 Sow more seeds- refine vermiculite
0915 Waste to compost bin - hard boiled egg for b'fast - vit pills - tea
0945 Prepare cauli  & onions - fry lardons for their meat & for fat for the sauce
1000 Make sauce - stock from larder - milk - cream - make breadcrumbs - grate cheese
1015 Feed birds - check water butts' (9 of them) feed for blockages
1030 Figure what to give us + next door (3+5) tomorrow.
1100 So who cares? Glass of wine. Research info for A4A queries
1130 Prepare & cook lunch - glass of wine
1230 Lunch - glass of wine

And in between all this - check for irate lotterers, disputing my comments, reply & listen to advice from Daughter & Wife.
This is retirement??

Wrote this this am but it vanished. No wonder?

Yes, Mike - to make way for the Scotch(es) at 6pm! To help preparing supper.
Don't get me wrong, though. Wife is a great cook, but I need something to occupy my time. And She just loves reading.

Happy birthday, Jo!!

Quite a full and productive morning Tim.  I enjoyed seeing a little snatch of your day. Wish I could manage to get up at 6.00 a.m.  Always mean to but during these still nippy mornings my bed is too warm and comfy.  Seen some of your cooking results and they always look delicious.  I would eat at your house anytime.  :) busy_lizzie

0900 - 0915 - Sow more seeds   ???

How many do you sow in 15 mins?

It takes me half an hour just to assemble the various bits required!   ::)
Lesson for life:
1. Breathe in     2. Breathe out     3. Repeat

Yes Tim, I am left in simple awe how you manage to squeeze so much out of your day ...
The impossible is just a journey away ...

Tim. My son sometimes says to me that I am busier in retirement than when I went to the office all day!! I don't rise as early as you but I don't retire until about  11.30pm then always read for an hour.. Still I enjoy being able to do the school run when required and helping the kids when they need help which obviously I couldn't do when I worked.. You certainly have busy mornings.

Wowzers Tim, Makes me so exhausted reading it, I am ready for bed!

We are awake at 6am, because the three urchins (step daughter weekend) get up at that unearthly hour.  The we lay in bed and listen to them play for a while.  There is something incredibly pure about hearing kids play, and laugh and make up games....

Then finally at 8am we stagger out of bed to make pancakes and waffles for breakfast.  After that, my day is a blur of 'Mum', Mum, he is hitting me', 'Mum, can I have a drink', 'Mum, make her stop!', 'Mum, I'm hungry', 'Mum, what's for lunch', 'Mum, MUM, where are you',' Mum, I need you', 'Mum they are fighting again', and so on...you get the picture!  However, my darling clever Ava built a rather splendid wooden toy box for the conservatory today so we don't have to have crates of their toys stacked up in there and it can look neat...................except for all of my seed trays, and compost, and seedlings, and seed packets, and watering cans, and compost on the floor, and so on and so forth!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

So you’re not into “Multi Tasking” yet Tim? ??? 6am alarm bell rings, (didn’t hear it) ::) 7am heard it but put it on sleep time, ;D 7.30am woke up wondering when the alarm will go off. :o

8.00am Panic stations dropped me Jim jams, jump in shower whilst wet shaving, look in A4A. :D
8.30am walk dog whilst controlling grandkids on their way to school on lead. :-\
9am walked dog back home whilst smoking a f*g and reading the Times, look in A4A. ;D
9.30am cook breakfast whilst getting washing in off the line and putting Jim jams etc in washing machine, look in A4A. :P
9.45 put burnt toast on plate whilst answering door to postman whilst prying dog from postman’s trouser leg, look in A4A. :D
10am time for a little telly whilst doing the ironing and letting the dog out because he wants to, look in A4A. ::)
10.45am nip to the shops pay bills, whilst answering mobile phone, buy food.
12.45pm back home, prepare lunch whilst washing up breakfast dishes, chat with wife whilst eating. :-*
2pm relax up plot with dog put a few spuds in, sit in shed eat drink and pat the dog all at the same time. :o ;D

Phew! Don’t know you’re born.

Only 2 trays, Amazin. Just finished disassembling 5lb of chicken wings & into the bottom oven, for the hoard who lunch here today.

Emma, of course, only cat-naps? Here until 2am - up at 6!!

Multi-tasking? Plenty on the roads today - doing the roundabout with mobile in left ear?? Dog hairs in my wine, Roy??  But I do like the idea of children on the lead.
An electric razor is a boon when dealing with the Postman!! Hope your Wife appreciates the 7 minutes she gets?

loulou - mail me your recipe & I'll see how I can help?

PS Thanks for reminding me - dustbin day today. Take them all down to the yard gate. Given my age, they take them from there.
We are doing our bit on the glass recycling front, but the awful clatter when the bottles get tipped in..................we look the other way!

Thought you'd signed the Pledge, Tim?   :o ;D

tim

Oh - noticing, aren't we??
And so early in the morning!

No - I signed nothing. Just gave it up for a month. Would have been for good had I not been put on hold for a prostate check. Looked at the possibilities. Didn't like them. Went back to God's tonic for the 3 months' wait.

So now? I've got quite used to it!!

kitty
