1. Sow seed with a waxing, never a waning moon
2. Incorporate scrapings of topsoil from below pines and spruces when planting, and then mulch with pine and spruce needles, crushed fir cones and even twigs to improve the strawberries’ flavour

Never put a worm on your head.....

Well it doesn't rhyme, but my lil ol man says always bung a rabbit carcase into the planting hole of a Rhodie or Azalea......  

~ if you don't have a carcass handy & want to make your soil more acidic you can water them with dilute vinegar-4tbsp of vinegar into a pint of water-once a month durning the growing season or you can add coffee grounds to the soil to make it more acidic

If you do not have a carcass or vinegar, then paraquot should do the trick  ;D

If you want your hydrangea to turn blue, bung a handful of rusty nails into the bottom of the planting hole.

Max, worms live in the soil..... ::) so they're not going to be happy living on your head are they......!!!! Though from what you've said about the visitors in your hair at the min.....I may well have to rethink this cunning Suffolk saying.... :-X
