Mrs Ava

Thank chaps!  GW, it is called Leycesteria, aka HIMALAYAN HONEYSUCKLE or PHEASANT BERRY.  Seeds itself at will all around the garden and is in flower/berry for virtually 12 months of the year!  Has bamboo like stems and can get a good 10 or more foot high.

Noticed today I still have honeysuckle in flower, and pelagoniums!

robkb

Lovely photos EJ! My pelargoniums are also still going strong in pots around the garden. But what's really thrown me is that my pinks have all decided to start flowering again, as has a delphinium and a foxglove! Is this normal for this time of the year?

Cheers,
Rob ;)

Absolutey stunning, thanks for sharing EJ      Lorna.

Juliet

Wow!  Lovely pictures, EJ - some beautiful plants too.

At the risk of repeating myself - do you mind telling me what camera you use? (Sorry :-[ - I really should get round to starting a thread about this!!)

Mrs Ava

Of course Juliet - it is a very old Sony Cybershot (3.2mega pixels).  We have had it for yonks!  To be honest, the newer cameras really are hugely better.

Tim....all those cream teas?

Rob, anything seems to be possible these days!

Juliet

Thanks, EJ - I'm now even more impressed that you are taking such good photos with it!  I'm really looking for 4+ mega pixels, though, I think - want to be able to print out largish pics now & again - but there are so many different cameras out there I don't know how to choose - at the moment I'm just asking everyone whose pictures look nice & sharp which one they have & making a list!

Rob - currently flowering in my garden are things which are supposed to flower in summer ... and in autumn ... and in winter ... and in spring!!  I think the strange weather we've been having has confused everything ???.

Gardengirl

Lovely photos Emma :)  It's amazing how much colour there is in the garden.  I still have fuchsias, begonias(small and large tuberous), busy lizzies, dahlias(of course ;D) chinese lantern, marigolds, kafir lilies, chincherinchi, geraniums, hydrangea and I even have loads of buds about to open on my climbing rose and a couple of delphinium spikes and the odd clematis.

The weather has been amazing over the last few days - as you say Juliet, I think everything is getting confused :D  Mind you, I am in Herts, not too far from EJ in Essex :)
Happy gardening all...........Pat

Marianne
