where is gavin keir?

just looked over a couple of my bookmarked allotment diaries, and noticed that gavin hasn't updated his website since june. i actually wondered where he was - i don't recall him being very active of late.
has anyone seen or heard from the man???

Yes I haven't seen Gavin on here for ages either.   ??? He was such a knowledgable gardener and was always happy to give very useful advice.  He also came across as a really nice man with a certain wry Scottish humour.  I do hope he is okay.  I have been on this board since 2003 and you do get used to seeing certain people, you become attached to them and get to like them.  It is amazing how much personality comes through in these postings.  If people don't turn up for a while, you do worry about them and hope they haven't become ill or had an accident.  Hopefully though he is still out there leading a busy and happy life and just hasn't got the time to go on-line.  There is a big full life out there that doesn't always involve a computer.  busy_lizzie

Had a look around Gavin's various pages but nothing seems to have been updated recently (as said above).  Still he has a busy life with his kids and all his various interests so maybe he is just busy.  Hope we do hear from his soon.

I see Eileen does log in sometimes but doesn't "talk" and I do miss hearing about her  delight at all the new seed catalogues!!  As Dexy's Midnight Runners used to say " Come On Eileen"!!

As well as all the other missing friends already mentioned what about The Gardener (Alex) and Budgiebreeder?  Maybe some of the missing people are with us under different names  :-\

As for Gardener J, I speak to her quite often.  She does not have internet access at home and her work have banned unauthorised internet useage, so she can't come calling.  I received an email from her just this very morning...she won't mind me copying this bit...

i got a right bargin at my local garden centre on sunday! there were soft fruit bushes (black, white and red currants) reduced from £5.99 to 99p!!!! i got 3 blacks, 2 reds and a white! also a gooseberry for 99p and 18 strawberry plants for £2.00!!! they were all very hea;thy, i was so chuffed! ha ha ha i just have to find a place to put them all now! ;-)
