Should we have voting for this year's show? Perhaps going through 3 pages of polls is too much. How about, for those who have entered flowers, for there to be a Flower Cup, and Veggie Cup for veggies. Perhaps a fun one for weird/funny veg (I noticed some have been enhanced) to cheer us up on a wet/non-gardening day.

I like the cups idea.  The thing I like about the show is we get to see everyones veggies, flowers and produce in one place, rather than working through the gallery.  Just wish more people would post!

I'm with EJ. I enjoy it so much looking at all the home grown things in one place.
Thank you Multiveg for organizing this.

Maybe next year we'll have a seperate board with the correct year on top so it will be easier to find for people to post.
Also, as I suggested before, have less catagories, that's easier to scroll down, sit back and enjoy, for example all types of: annual flowers, perenial flowers, tomatoes, beans, beetroot etc. This way you don't have to keep going back to the catagories after every two or three pictures.

I'll ask Dan before we start posting next time for a sepearate board, it could be right on top of the 2004 show and this years.

Just to say, that I am not entirely sure what the 'rules' are, but I have posted some pics from my garden in the respective categories. I hope that is ok. It is great to see what people have produced. Amazing!!!

Personally, I don't mind not voting or being voted for. I just wanted to participate in posting pics, especially as EJ was asking for more to contribute. It seems such a good idea. This is really my first full year of gardening and it is all new! I don't have a lottie, but I did grow some container veggies, but they are not worthy of taking pics. I am amazed at all the categories - the chutnies etc! Some of you are very clever and productive indeed!!

I agree with pretty much everyone but given the standards perhaps we colud hire out your photographic skills EJ........  I mean that asparagus and the grapes are just stunning and way beyond my grubby fingers and old camera!   ::)

It struck me yesterday, when trying to balance a Jumbo Pink Banana squash upright to take a pic of it, how daft we all are taking pics of our veggies.  Only on here peeps. Still it keeps us all in one place and safely away from the public  ;D

yes, that's one of the things I love about the peeps on this site, we're all daft enough to take photos of our veg and clever enough to know how daft we are  ::) and daft enough to go ahead and enjoy it anyway ;D ;D

My compost heaps started in June, and I think I should leave them a year cos I am lazy and bung everything in (even scary roots :o). If I made a boo boo I plan to haul out the black plastic again ;D

what's the recipe? ie do you turn it and water or cover it, how long do you leave it to cook please?

This is it all nicely sieved  :)  I put everything in except cooked food.  I do water it if it looks dry (it's next to my water butt which helps) I put ripped up cardboard in too and rolled up newspaper if its too wet and smelly. All loo rolls middles go in and all kitchen peelings, tea bags, coffee bags, egg shells (washed)  The thicker stalks rot down eventually but it helps if you can hack em about a bit first. Good bit of hacking is good therapy  :) Cut flowers and old plants go in, rose clippings, all dead headings
I do mix it up a bit and sometimes if nothing appears to be happening I get some out into the barrow and give it a stir and put it back, but you don't have to but I think if it's got too solid in the centre a bit of a lift will get some air into it and liven things up.  Place bins in full sun if you can  :)

Oh Simon I wouldn't worry.  A4A is not an exact science  :)
