Doesn't a Savoy make you think of (sshh) Autumn??

The row on the right was sown 14 June & put out 17 July.

My wide-angle lens camera is in for repair, so you'll have to make allowances in this composite!

Our Greyhound and savoy were doing great until the slugs and aphids descended   :'(

Going to try again with winter cabbage but may not bother next spring if results don't improve.

We have no water....they seemed to suffer during the dry spell.

Looking great Tim, and you are right savoy's make me think of winter, we used to grow about 30 acres of savoy cabbage and never started cutting them until the beginning of October. It was a great job cutting them especially when there was 2 foot of snow on top of them (when we used to get Winters that was). Anyway tim your garden is looking great, glad to see all your hard work is paying off.

I love the savoy!  And I love that smell of raw brassica when you cut it....clean, squeaky, green!  Shredded, stirfried with crispy onion and good smokey bacon!

Tim   your brassicas look like they're in a "v" formation  :)   

I love savoy with sausage, mash and onion gravy, with lots of pepper on.  Or stir fried with black mustard seed, or then again steamed with butter and french grainy mustard on

Really good looking brassica Tim.  That savoy looks perfect.  I am growing savoys this year but  they are not half your size yet.   :) busy_lizzie
