My other half has just completed the 'Japanese' bridge that I wanted to go over the pond.  Next project it to move some acers that I have in pots around the garden nearer to the bridge.

Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Oh Mimi what a beautiful garden! And what a beautiful bridge! I wish my OH was just a little bit capable of DIY!!! And I wish I had a bigger garden!

Mimi, I don't remember seeing your beautiful garden B4, why have you been keeping it from us? And the Japaneses Bridge is a work of art, give him a pat on the back from me. ;) ;D

Love your bridge  ;D  Your garden aint bad either  :)   Must be great having a DIY type bloke. MY OH is ex pit and everything he makes has to be heavy duty.  He just had to make me a table for the allotment.  Great I thought.  One problem it's so damned heavy we can hardly lift it between us  ;D
I came, I saw, I composted

Thank you for all the kind comments.  Other half is very good at building stuff for me.   Good job he isn't as good at the gardening.......thats MY thing  ;)  ;D He really enjoys making things for our garden and home. He has often thought of doing this as a side line.
Roy Im sure that you have seen photos of my garden before.  Dont want to bore everyone who has by posting too much. ;)

Wow Mimi, that is fabulous!  Ooo, I can picture the scene now, on a balmy evening, g&t in hand, leaning on the edge looking into the pond, as dragonflies buzz around and swallows circle overhead....as the sun goes down..........

Mimi,

I am pleasantly surprised to find another japanophile amongst us. Well the Japanese ornaments/features anyway.  It looks lovely, and I've seen a few Japanese bridges in my time in the flesh. I love it. I love your Astilbes too, one of my favourite plants...I could move in to your garden, I really could. Ha!  Did you see my Torii Gate, my April entry to the monthly photo competition?

Well done your OH.

Mimi, I can only echo other people's wonder and awe at your spectacular garden.  The bridge and pond are fab, and your border is just marvellous. We only have white astilbes, and you have inspired me to get some pink ones to go with them in our pink and white border.  Gorgeous!  Well done girl!!
