Downloaded IE7.
Good grief - the messy probs.
Anyone had the same?

Fortunately I had done a System restore point before doing it, so I could go back to what I had before. Awful thing is it not?

I keep reading these comments, so I've not downloaded it. What happens/doesn't happen? (delete where applicable) :-\

Thanks for that extra no-no. We had it all ready, but hesitated after A4A coments. So glad!!

Palustris

It mucked up our screen resolution so we could not read anything, despite changing settings. The Taskbars are nothing like the ones we have set up painstakingly over the last few years.
Gave up then and got rid of it.

the OH down loaded it the other day and didn't tell me - went to use the computer and was bombarded with a mass of pop up messages, errors etc....

seems to have settle down a bit and am getting used to the functionality. I like the tabs across the top to have more than one web page open at once.

Palustris

We have as many Web pages open as we want using the old IE. They are listed at the bottom of the page thats all.

Been using it now for a week.
I would not like to be without it now :)
I think the multitab part is good plus the in line search engine is great.
Took a few days to customize and get used to it,I had to add  a few quick link icons such as the mail button. But it gets my vote.

Well done to Microsoft ;D

Got it on my work pc but not yet at home.

I like a few things like the search engine (once set to google), the fact that when it starts I can auto open 3 tabs with 3 different homepages and RSS feeds are inbuilt.

But it doesnt do much more than FF 2 doesnt do

Picked that one up from Firefox then have they - are there any more ideas knicked from the more security conscious and stable free competitor? :D

I'm quite glad I did. I use FF and IE7, I like IE7 more than FF, altough the frequent crashes are testing my patience, the UI is a little nicer

Most of their ideas are knicked off someone, was highly amused when I heard that Adobe had sued them for copyright infringement on .pdf files. They thought that as Adobe had given Open Office use of pdf for free that they could do it as well. NO, Abode says who can use it.
