I do not have much trouble, if any, with slugs/snails so here is a pic of a clump of our lupins.

Can someone tell me what this lovely little flower is.  Its in the pond and we dont remember putting it there!!!!

Lovely lovely lupins Carol, and the mystery pond plant is gorgeous!  I kinda recognise it..........shall have to get my book out!

aquilegia

both lovely.

I can send you some of my snails if you like! I have far too many, it's just not fair of me to keep them all!
gone to pot :D

Mimi

Carol the mystery plant is Kaffir lily.  I had some last year I think it was from Pat  a.k.a gardengirl.  Didn't she win some great prizes with her exhibitions of them last year??
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Carol i have just packed a box of 500 slugs and snails for you , ;D i would hate for you to miss out on them ;D ;D ;D. no wonder they stripped my garden and left yours alone how come do you put anything down so unfair, i really love lupins, i bought some new seeds yesterday to have yet another try. ;D

Mrs Ava

oooooooooo goodoh!  I have kaffir lillies to!  This site is so good at identifying mystery plants!

Carol

Thanks, so its a Kaffir Lilly.  Didnt know they survived in Ponds.  A company cleared our pond out last year and think they must have put it there!!!  Its lovely eh?

Now slugs an Snails.  Well I must get some, but they dont bother much, if at all and I have at least 20 Hostas  all untouched.  In fact our Hostas are quite magnificent this year.  Oooo  dear  hope the local slugs are not reading this!!!
