I am not really sure where to start with this. We have spent a great few days at my parents place in the South West, and as some of you know my inspiration for gardening comes from them. This is their garden at the moment, if I can hope to even get a 100th  as good as this I will be very very happy!

PS, Just wish I could get them to participate in the open gardens scheme!

That was very interesting Jerry, I had wondered what your parents garden must be like after you posted the first pictures of the kestrels nest and now my curiosity has been satisfied. ;D

Your parents do indeed have a stunning garden which is a credit to them.

Grrrr. Must wait until I have all of them loaded!

Thanks all, yes I think the garden is very special. 50 years of work for them along side running a commercial farm business. You can see why I love gardening too now as well. Very much in my blood.

And yes, the kids are mine. 8 and 3 years old. Benjamin is starting to like the garden now too, especially if he gets to drive Grandad's mower!!!

Must do better!!

Very very beautiful.
No weeds. Ours is the opposite - very few flowers!

lorna

What a stunning  garden, do your parents manage it all on their own or do they have help?? Really wonderful. Lorna

Tim,

Having seen pictures of your work I really don't think you need to think "Must do Better"!

My folks have the advantage of being near sea level at only 3 miles from the coast and in the South West so in a mild spot of the country.

And yes, my parents have a little help, a chap comes in once a week to cut the grass and that is it. The only true "gardener" they had was 20 odd years ago. He was fired when he hoed the whole asparagus bed one spring nearly killing the lot, :-(((
