Here are a couple of snaps of the garden today.  The sun was shining and everything is really begining to grow like mad.  Finally the hostas and astilbes are growing, and I am trying to plan ahead this year and get my supports in now whilst the plants are still small.

On the second picture, it is hard to see, but that is where I hacked back half of my giant shrub, don't know if you remember the before and after pics...anyhow, the dogwoods have started to leaf up, and an evergreen honeysuckle has appreciated the extra light and put on a lot of growth, so already the severeness of the 'haricut' is softer.

On the last pic, the 2 dead looking sticks in the ground are my poor bananas that I didn't look after over the winter.  They were doing fine until that last covering of snow.  I have investigated and theya re still firm and green so am keeping fingers and toes crossed!

What - no dandelions, painted nettle, celandine, creeping buttercup?

What a wonderful world!

Oh lovely .

I do envy those of you with gardens.
A friend is someone who thinks you are a good egg,
even though you are slightly cracked.

Love the dappled light, EJ.  It's all so lush looking already! Remember to let us know how the bananas fare........

Have seen all your pics now EJ and they are lovely.  I love the Angelica, saw some on Gardeners World tonight and liked theirs too.  Your garden and plants look so verdant and healthy.  I like your lay out and your pond is looking good too.  I am really pleased with how our lottie is looking at the moment but I have just started doing our home garden which is looking very neglected.  You have spurred me on.  :)  busy_lizzie
