Sarpo Mira look the same kind of colour and size as Desirée ... I just dug mine all up and they were from T&M

Sarpo Mira is a distinctly elongate tuber, quite a long oval rather than a PFA "finger"... but it is red skinned, will still be in good condition foliage (the only thing that stops it is frost) and might well be in flower.

Other candidates: Red Duke of York (unlikely), Setanta (quite floury, like a Red Rooster), Red Rooster itself (both it and Setanta can have quite reticulate skins).

If when its baking you get a distinct whiff of popcorn then it's a Sarpo Mira BTW...

If that's the case then it is a good baker, but I would steam rather than boil to part-cook for roasting and I wouldn't boterh with it for mash, it is hopeless when boiled, going form very hard to slush in an instant...
I always grow it for bakers, and mine will probably get an experimental dig this week
