Allotments 4 All

I saw too frogs (or toads, I'm not sure which) swimming in the few inches of water in the bottom of one of my water butts this morning. they looked as if they were trying to climb out, although this could be because i'd frightened them getting water out. Should I fish them out or leave them be? I've put a plank in so they can climb out if they want, although it's quite a steep climb!

Yes they need rescue.

I found one in a near empty Darlek compost bin.   Maybe snails in there drew it in and then  it couldnt get out.   It was OK but it can get pretty hot in there.

Yes..we keep finding them in water buts too..and keep fishing them out only to find them back there few days later?!
Frogs are quite good climbers, surprisingly so  blank of wood will work if they should want to come out. I've seen them climbing inside a hedge making such a noise with dry leaves that I though we had rodent of some sort having fun.
If it is almost empty but, I would take the swimmer out too...
