I am getting peckish reading this thread!

Making the pate at the mo but it won't cool so I can wizz it up.  Would a bit of couscous salad be okay to bring as well?

Swap/give away seed are sorted....cake done...driving instructions sorted...other 'bits and bobs' in order for a day..and now its all down to packing filling the car up and driving down
It is going to be brilliant!

I will bring along some iced coffee ideal to cool people down and some nice irish soda bread, butter nice on its own or with some pate  i also bring along some cream cheese yum

Harriets really excited to come and see the allotments but will be packing the sun factor 50 if anyone forgets :)

Soda bread and REAL butter.  Oh yum. 

Haven't started the packing yet, still doing a bit of food.

I think the best thing will be if I wait by the gate from around 11:45
but if you arrive earlier just give me a ring.

I'll have the badges with me, so once you are badged up you can make
your way to Reception  at the top of the drive where Shirl
and committee member Pauline will give you a drink and show you where
our State of the Art Rest Rooms are. 

We can put our food on a table under the trees and I'll cover it up with
a big cloth till we are all there and ready to eat.

Once we've finished eating, we could have a walk around the site but
only if you promise that when I show you my plot you make reassuring
comments about the weeds and general state of untidiness.  (and I'll make
excuses about how I spend too much time talking and don't have much time
for weeding etc. etc.!)

Or if you prefer, you can wander around on your own.

And as Goodlife says, it's not too late to say you will come - the more
the merrier!

Sounds like a plan :) Well we have decided to shelve the idea of driving up tonight way 2 hot so going to drive up in the morning when its cooler :) will bring harriets doll "Elliot" and her buggy which will keep her occupied for a bit :) any roses that need dead heading just point harriet at them :) hehe

A long standing prior engagement meant that there no chance of me coming.
So stay cool, have a laugh and enjoy yourselves.

PS - Betty I would have loved to have met the cats, especially my favourite one!

Promise I will be complimentary about your soda bread as you do the same for my mushroom pate and salad.  I know, I know, they don't quite go together.

HAHA i am sure it will be great :) BUT were allergic to mushrooms so i am sure the salad will be amazing :)

I'm afraid I'm going to whimp out, I'm sorry I won't be with you.  My dog Kettle was spayed last week and she's not quite right yet so I'd sooner stay home.  I hope you all have a good meet.

Have a smashing time A4 ers I would love to meet you all but I've got phobias on me phobias  and don't travel I hope you meet, eat and share lot's of laughter, please post pics

Still hoping to be there but had an exhausting day today so need some sleep before the long drive, and may have to call in to look at a campervan on the way (OH has seen it earlier this week but needs my approval!) so I probably won't make it for 12- start without me!

Me too - it's TODAY   

Hooray , have emerged from the full on week and now searching around the cuboards for something edible to bring and wondering where my seeds are!
