Late last week we decided to escape to Wales for a couple of nights...  What amazing weather, absolutely stunning scenery 

Hopefully all have been as lucky as us this weekend.

Whereabouts were you, Dan? We had a lovely sunny visit to Fountains Abbey this afternoon.

Staying in Llandrillo, near Corwen not a cloud in the sky tonight and unlike the city many many stars visible.

Where is fountains abbey?

It looks stunning. Hope there were a few shooting stars too 

Fountains Abbey is in North Yorkshire, not far from Ripon (National Trust, although you can access a lot of the estate without having to pay!). My OH is doing the photos for a wedding there in a few weeks' time so wanted to have a look, although we've been there lots of times. For anyone nearby, they are opening until 10:00 on Saturdays through October for hog roast and floodlighting- we didn't stay for that but had we known we might have gone a bit later.

We've been on the banks of the river Wyre, in Scorton, amazing weather, wonderful scenery . Glad you had a good break
