I don't have a lottie Ken as "I am slightly out of the area" - which is a shame.

I too have a resident/local toad. 'He' too is now back. Spotted him for the first time this year whilst weeding one of my borders.

I think it's wonderful the way we all get so much pleasure out of the simple things like spotting frogs and toads in our gardens. 

You should having seen the silly grin on my face when I spotted a young starling on my feeders at the weekend.  I know some people think they are pests but believe me, when birds are a rarity in your garden - depite plenty of cover, water, plants they love and loads of natural food - you'd settle for flippin' Rod Hull's Emu!
