Allotments 4 All

I thought I'd see how our carrots were getting on as last year lost all to carrot fly :( this time we put them in between the onions and leeks  :)as we thought smell would fool the carrot flys ,oh an we never touched them on weeding just in case the smell got out .IT WORKS ;D lovely carrots ,now we have a lot of weeding to do ;D

I tried it a few years ago and had no joy, this year after several no shows I planted late in raised beds where the winter onions had been and have pulled quite a few decent ones with more still in the ground.  :-\
