I was having a look through some of the lovely photos in the veggie competition section today and thought it would be fun to restart the competition this season? Anyone else interested in taking part in an A4A Summer produce show?

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

It's a virtual show, take some pictures over the summer when you harvest your produce, there will be different classes eg, potatoes. When the competition opens post your winning picture!

In that case, count me virtually in. :)

Do the items have to be laid out like in a proper show or is it just the goods we want to see?

It would be nice to see items displayed and being shown at best and if people want to show their entries as if going to a show that would be excellent too  ;D Just a bit of fun really and if we have polls, everyone can pick their favourites  :)

Here's a link to a previous year's display of onions http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/smf/index.php/topic,4637.0.html

Categories will be decided before too long.  Aside from the fruit and veggies to be shown I thought we might include some of the following; poultry/livestock, cutest pet, homemade foodie, best scarecrow etc.  But love to hear other ideas, tips too as I don't know much about showing veg!

This year, unlike any other, I have been able to grow decent  sized cucumbers!
I am very proud...

As on another post, Russian Red, Tigerella and Kenilworth have eventually come good too..

If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
