Allotments 4 All

at 6.15am this morning light rain, 6.45 am heavy snow and sleet, very chilly  :o

the forecast is for snow, its a chilly 1.7c outside
just looked out and its snowing, big flakes at the moment
broooooooooooooooo

A feeble attempt to produce some snowflakes earlier, but it's cleared up now.

A very cold day with light rain as I left for work at 5.45
Turning to sleet by 6.30
Followed by a few snow flurry's which amounted to nothing
A few more light rain showers and stayed cold all day.   :(

I'd just started digging when sleet stopped play.

Feels quite warm sitting here at 3 in the morning but the shot of whisky might have something to do with it.

After an entire day (and another plumber's visit) decided a wee while ago that the heating system in our Little Pink Bungalow really wasn't going to cope so....... now to break the news to everyone (especially my elderly parents) that no one will be moving in on Sunday as planned.

Oh the problems that will bring in the morning. :'(  I am so sad about it after my parents trusted me and agreed to make the move to live across the road from me so I can better care for them.

A very cold day ahead tomorrow - especially when it comes to letting my sister know! And then it will heat up!!!!!

More whisky I think - "Things could be worse"......I suppose.

Yesterday we had a few hours on unexpected sunshine though it did not do much for the temperature.  Certainly did not match the mini heatwave of Thursday.  But now it is frosty.

Things are not going your way Aden Roller.  Sounds as if you have been doing your best.   Look on the bright side at least they did not move in and then the heating failed. 

Hard frost this morning minus 3 here in oxfordshire.

its 2.1c here in preston, dureing the night it dropped to minus  1.7c

Very true and we avoided my dad going out in the cold....my daily journeys continue though.
Here's hoping the ice stays away.

A cold but beautifully sunny day  :) wind is a tad sharp!

Must have been nippy during the night.  1/2 inch of ice of the water butt.  Lifted it up and found there were three inch fingers of ice in amazing patterns on the underside.  I have never seen this before. 

Went out in the car.  It was lovely with the heating going full tilt. 

I have put a lot of bindweed on the surface hopefully the frost will have dealt with it.

Another frost forecast tonight must get some washing out.  I do love towels which have been frozen they go really soft and fluffy.
