Or so says a survey of RHS members sponsored by Fetzer wine.

Findings of survey found:

- nearly all gardeners drink wines (94% of them compared to 70% of UK adults as a whole)
- majority of gardeners drink wine at least twice a week

Does this sound like you?

Wine for me too.  Maybe one glass weekdays and two on weekends.

OH, being my weekend garden labourer, likes a beer when he's finished for the day but switches to wine with dinner and most weekdays.

I was spending too much on wine so there was only one obvious choice - brew more myself! Have a couple of kits on the go at the moment, the posh kit works out at £2 a bottle!

So yes, I like a drop or two.

Err..no, not like me..
I have couple of units (at most) of rum or whiskey in a month, more often after the first sip rest is left into glass. I like the smell and taste of the stuff,,just don't like the effect of alcohol for my body/head.
I might have glass of vine..any sort..if it comes to push.
In summer I might have cider when having barbeque.

Steve.

Mostly a beer drinker although I do enjoy a good wine with a good dinner. Just got back into wine making after a 20 year break from it. I have 2 damson and 4 elderberry on the go at present.

Oh yes.  We normally drink a glass or two with our dinner.

I only ever have the one glass....... but it gets refilled frequently!!

Depends on the weather and stocks, really. At the moment it's beers after digging. Can't beat a nice beer when you're roasting hot. Spiced mead when building cold frames, clearing up, general dotting about. Warms the cockles nicely. Come Spring and summer it'll be cold beer and cider all the way. If I've no cider ready I'll hit the wine but i try not to since I want to lay my precious brews down for a few years.
