Gave Dan a shout when the forum went down but he doesn't seem to have been around so wonder if it was a problem wherever it's hosted.

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Have a few friends on Facebook from A4A who could confirm the problem was with the site. :)

A couple of years back it used to regularly go down.

When a website isn't responding, you can use this to check if it's down - just enter the URL:

Is it down for evderyone or is it just me

Message from Dan, he's not in the UK so we may have to be a little patient until he can fix it.

Nothing is ever as it seems. With appropriate equations I can prove this.

I juts did some digging. Why is the server hosted in Minneapolis ?? Thats makes us not only severely vulnerable to cross atlantic internet storms, but also means whoever is running is probably getting up and going to bed 8 hours after the rest of us.

Your not trying to tell me there no suitable hosting in the UK? I run a site hosted in the UK , supports phPBB and SQL, unlimited traffic, mailboxes, 100 databases, email support, £3.99 a month

*EDIT*

oh look: this is why:

http://www.internetpulse.net/Main.aspx?Period=RH24

look a tthe horizontal line COGENT where it crosses the vertical column SAVVIS. A red box. That indicates a net storm of some sort, exactly on the bit of the internet we use to get here.

and here http://www.internetpulse.net/Main.aspx?Origin=Savvis&Destination=Cogent&Metric=TCP
