thats fantastic Tim, when are they going to let go solo again and show them how it used to be done.
I must also say im very envious of you the other veterans for getting to fly in such an iconic machine. :)
you may be a king or a little street sweeper but sooner or later you dance with de reaper.

Nice shots Tim, bet you felt like a youngster again, we had a Spitfire jacked up to zero in the guns on the armourer's course at Kirkham, in 1950 nearly burst your eardrums when they tested them.

It's good to see that you're still enjoying flying high now and again!

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Smart pictures there, Tim. You look right at home ;) Thanks for sharing.

On an almost different subject; today, very close to where I work, there was a Tornado jet having some maintenance done across a couple of fields on a runway.  Holy bl**dy heck, I have NEVER heard anything so loud in my life!  We all came running out of our offices to see what the devil was going on.  I genuinely thought as it got louder and louder, that a plane or helicopter was about to crash in the field opposite my office!!  It was quite frightening.  It started to make my ears hurt so I had to go back inside.  When it died down I went and asked someone else on site what on earth it was and he explained and said it'd been going on for a couple of days now. Not quite sure why it would be grounded at such a small airfield though?

Sorry to hijack your thread, Tim!
