Many years ago, A rather wealthy friend of mine booked her then potential partner into a clinic for a hair transplant for his 50th

He was delighted with the present and went to the clinic for his appointment

Some one at the clinic had booked him in for a vasectomy.

He never did get his hair transplant

All the above suggestions sound good.  My OH is 65 on tuesday.   No idea what to get him, will probably not bother like past years.

Name a star after him, or better still buy goats in his name to go to underpriveledged countries.

I had no idea what a kindle was.  Looks great now perhaps I can read again.  Not been able to read in the evening since they got rid of 100 watt light bulbs.

And think of all those trees it will save.

You are welcome. I love mine and its great being able to adjust text size too. Ypo can also store PDFs on it. I take favourite knitting patterns on it :) I'd try and get the dearer one and the case quality of the Amazon Leather ones is excellent :)

Depends on whether he already "has it all". In that case a charity goft could be good, sponsor a child in his name or buy a goat?
For a friend's 50th we all pitched in and he went away for a nice long weekend with his wife.

An iPad or similar?? If there are several of you pitching in of course.
