You could give us some clues.  Is he very active or preferes to watch others.  Action day out eg car racing/hot air balloon/sky diving.
Gift vouchers if he's really hard to buy for.  Special bottle of booze.  59 year old female she'll be so grateful  ;D ;D

A new shed. That's what I got! ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

My OH was bought a right old selection of things ranging from vintage port, antique shaving kits, posh bottle of wine, cheeky Tshirts, music and books, more wine, it depends on your budget really. But his fave pressie was his granddad's wallet with a tenner for every year  :)

Can't we just take him out for a meal and make that our present? ;D ;D ;D I'll even throw in a few balloons and party poppers cos I know he'll love that :P

Taurus, person in question (my big brother) is a very active person.  He runs, golfs and does a fair few of those 'trekking off around the world and up mountains' expeditions. He's very hard to surprise because - and I REALLY don't mean this in an obnoxious way - he's comfortable for money and therefore buys himself whatever he needs for those kinds of things.

Last Christmas he was trekking Kilimanjaro and my present to him was a long, humerous letter (I don't have the greatest of imaginations, LOL) reminding him of back home and that right about the time he'd be reading it, we'd be tucking in a turkey roast and all the trimmings ;D

How do Kindles work, exactly? (sorry to sound thick but I know what they are but not how they work) could he take one with him on one of his treks?  If so, that's a pretty good idea (I'll buy it before Rosebud spots it first)

I though a Kindle would be good now that he has reached a good age ;D
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Hector

Kindles can go anywhere :) They don't need charging often, so are ideal . We take ours when we go camping.

Get the dearer one and you can log onto internet to buy books wherever you are. The amazon leather cover is £50 and seems way over the top BUT it has a pull out light that ,meas you can read comfortably in total darkness without waking a partner :) You can also listen to music you have saved on it, and put in earplugs. I adore mine.
