Helleborus foetidus. Crush a leaf, if it stinks rotten then it is correct id. If not then it is one of the green/yellow flowered Hellebores. Need to see closer flower for full id.

Seeds may well be available in June, usually plenty. British native, by the way. Flowers very pale green/yellow with a red edge to the petals. The smell does not come off your hands too easily so watch it. Good plant for dry shade.

Can't see your picture Len, but if it has a red tinge to its stems it could be a Helleborus foetidus "Wester Flisk" - I have one in my garden.

It's beautiful but the aphids love it and infest it from December onwards - I am continually spraying it with soap!!

The main plant is definetly a helebore. Is the grass next to it a miscanthus? Looks a bit like one to me. :-/
