Today we had lovely roast parsnips and sprouts used all potatos so had to buy those really grieved me.

My Cara spuds and onion in beef casserole with carrots, pearl barley and Dumplings in the slow cooker.    :P :P :P

Pumpkin soup for dinner, with smoothie made with our last years rhubarb for pudding.

Beef, mashed spuds, parsnips and sprouts for tea- had to buy carrots.

Plum crumble- plums from freezer.

Started to defrost sloes to make sloe wine and will be drinking parsnip wine in a very short time! ;)

pea and ham soup with our leeks and last of the stored carrots in, home made tayberry jam on the scones  ;D

Today I picked  some beautiful Purple sprouting broccoli ,  leeks  and  rhubarb  .
Trespassers will be composted !

Brussel sprouts Trafalgar picked today, Kestrel potatoes - still got lots even though lost a lot due to the cold weather, parsnips, beans.  Oh yes onions and garlic too. :)

scraping the barrel now - all that's left is a few parsnips and swede, so that's a stew and dumplings tonight (found them the other day in a bed still to work on), the last batch of forced chicory (salad at lunch), peas and runner beans in the freezer, spicy plum chutney, red currant jelly and blackcurrant/gooseberry jam and yesterday we juiced the last of our apples - amazing and beautiful juice it was  ;D but all the new salads are nearly ready and so it begins again  :D

Got the last of the carrots, parsnips, and swede. O/H is doing braised steack tomorrow for dinner, its not for me Grandchildren are all comeing from school tomorrow there will be goody bags, and drinks  ;D Ho to go back in time and have our treat hour in the garden before tea (what ever was on the table) ;D ;D

Salad things - rocket, cress, lamb's lettuce, spring onions.  Squash, found one small onion that did not get harvested whilst digging, parsnip and tomatoes and peas from the freezer.  I am making a sort of vegetable stew and liver with onion.

From last year's crops:
Toms that I'd halved and tossed in some basil leaves (prior to freezing), tomato that I'd cooked and sieved (prior to freezing too), garlic that was beginning to go soft (take the core out), the smallest onions imaginable. All thrown in a little olive oil with some oregano, salt and pepper and reduced then blitzed. Served over (purchased) red pepper tortellini (spelled torteloni on the packet!) and sprinkled with cheese.

The mash was homegrown PFA's that had started to sprout (you can freeze mash!, hurrah), some  french beans (CObra) from the freezer adn a some brussesl (ditto), sojme of the onions and the garlic in the gravy were homegrown too (big batch that I froze).... the sausages an a carrot were shopbought....
