Where were all the Christmas Day sprouts, folks surely some of you must have had them on your plates ??? ??? ???

Picked mine on Crimble Eve for Crimble Day and had them in the bubble with cold meats last night!

Borlotti

Rhubard (had frozen it cooked) crumble and cream.  Put some Kelloggs crunchy nuts cereal in with crumble and on top and it was very good, think I may have seconds soon, or should I have Xmas cake (I made) or chocs.  Maybe later.

Tin Shed

Leeks.... in a turkey and leek flan...well they will be eaten when I have made it!!!

Going to work tomorrow to get away from the cooker ;)

cornykev

Snips and spuds with my chicken roast.     ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

calendula

surprisingly the leeks have survived the weather recently - so today with the pork it is leeks

tonybloke

todays lunch will include
Roast Pork (from a mate's allotment) on a bed of onions (from allotment) with Bramley apple sauce (from back garden tree)
carrots, cauli (with cheese sauce) and parsnips from the allotment.
yorkshire puds made with eggs from allotment  neighbours hens.
Raspberry wine (2008) made from 'autumn bliss' (allotment grown).  ;)
You couldn't make it up!

galina

Found a small bowl full of self-seeded lambs lettuce, looking good after all the icy weather.  The inner leaves of the broad leaf endive under the cloches are ok too and with a handful of rocket from the greenhouse we managed a nice salad.

cornykev

Snips and celeriac with our roast lamb.     ;D ;D ;D

As well as the normal... leeks, sprouts, potatoes, cabbage, onion soup, parsnips ... while cleaning out the greenhouse fund a couple of cape gooseberries in their shells... very nice they were too!  :)

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Forgive my little jest with Saddad :-[ :-[ :-[
Much as I love cabbage leeks etc I doubt anyone had them before lunch time :D :D :D

Yesterday was spuds, sprouts, onions and celeriac.... running low on celeriac, run out of onions except in the pile of frozen onion gravy....there's about another six pickings of sprouts left I estimate, potatoes holding up well.... I'm managing to eat them as they show chits and I've still got half a sack of PFA and some Congo....
