My apologies if this doesn't work.  Hopefully here is a picture of the right hand side of my Allotment,  Autumn  2003. We have had the plot since February 2003 and have done quite a lot of work on it.  In the right back ground is where my husband has started the greenhouse. There is also a pond which you can't see.   I have got onions in the middle and leeks looking a bit sad now, in the front.  Two Compost heaps are beside the leeks.  In front of the leeks are my rhubarb crowns , I have four.

On the Left side I have my raised beds, the brussel sprouts left from where my brassica area was and beside those my raspberries, gooseberries and redcurrants.  At the back is a shed and some apple trees.  The back area was covered in grass when we got the plot and we are gradually digging it all out to cultivate that area.  Sorry it is not a better photo , but will do better the next time.  :-[ :) busy_lizzie

BL, it's a blinding photo!  And great to see such a beautifully looked after plot.  What a lovely blue sky that day also!  More now please!  ;D

Thanks so much EJ for your kind words.  :D If it was a bigger pic, I am afraid you would see more of it's  imperfections, but it is my little patch and I love it.  Thats including the brambles, couch grass, thistles, and bind weed that usually surrounds our fencing, and not forgetting the mares tales, which have there own favourite little spot.

The back bit where the greenhouse will be, was covered in huge amounts of bramble bushes, and we reclaimed about a hundred square feet or more land when we hacked them down and burnt them at the end of the summer.  It was a gorgeous Autumn Day when I took the photo, quite sunny and warm, I remember.  Roll on the better weather.   The soil was frozen again and the pond was solid ice when I popped up today just for a visit.  :) busy_lizzie

Nothing much wrong with the photo to me.  Anyway at least I cna see it instead of a red X in a white box that i often get instead of folks pictures.

Great plot by the way. You have certainly worked hard on it.  ;D

Good looking lottie you've got there and in lovely rural setting it looks like. Thanks for posting the picture.

Thank you Richard and Ina for your kind words.  It isn't rural, Ina, it is just behind Whitley Bay High School and the greenery you can see in the background is actually part of the school fields, with Churchill Playing Fields to the side where the local leagues play football every Saturday and Sunday.  You will often find me kicking a stray ball back onto the fields on my way to the allotments at the weekend.  The Road in front of the field is Monkseaton Drive, which leads straight down the the sea.  :) busy_lizzie

Gor blimey, I could probably see it from my house (if Sainsbury's, a roundabout and a bend in the road wasn't in the way!)
