Hi guys,

Well, having got the flu in the middle of moving here and spent the last ten days in bed with the worst bout I've ever had....finally got out into the garden yesterday to make a small start.

It is a blank canvas - and a pretty large one! Am planning to put potatoes in on the one bit of fairly clear ground, but a real scale  veggie patch may not be an option at the moment.

There is no real lawn as such yet, but it will be dug over and seeded so I don't have to worry about that. My OH has a yen for a croquet lawn but  I think that's a long way off!!

We've got two biggish patios - weeded one yesterday but the other has been invaded by creeping buttercup (I think that's what it is? ). Any hints on clearing that fast and efficiently?

A good few trellises up around the house, so I've cleared a space for a Passion Flower and a Clematis, but I'm going to leave them both in their pots as we don't know how long we'll be here.

Greenhouse is going to be a real bonus. Potted up some Sweet Pea seeds yesterday, which really made me feel as if I'm back to gardening.

Unfortunately I left my seed trays at the old house, but I'm aiming to put a lot more seeds in the greenhouse this weekend and get some growing started.

Wish us luck!

(Needless to stay the house is still invaded by boxes of unpacked stuff - priorities heh!)

WELL DONE!! As you know, it took me 17 days to get over my whatever. How mean that you should get it at that time.

I have lots of multi-celled things - & I'm binning 100s of pots - should you want them??

Now - photos please??

Excellent. Now photograph, photograph and then more photographs. You never really remember exactly what you started with. And it is staggering to look back and see what you have done.

Still have to get the digi-camera though! I'm WAY behind most of you on the technology. Maybe I'll have it sorted by the time there's something to look at!.

Tim I've got a few pots here, but if you've anything of a suitable size for sowing seeds I'd love them!

Glad you are settled and have got started. Hope you feel much better now  :)
Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.
