We have -9 in Northamptonshire, the freezing fog on the trees is now a thick layer of the white stuff, the sun has come out and it looks very festive.  But Oh so cold ........

saddad

We have bright blue skies but the rime on the plants looks lovely... even the cobwebs look "artificial"..  :)

gwynnethmary

Hartlepool is ....awaiting more snow!

tonybloke

You couldn't make it up!

cornykev

Cold and frosty here, it should be warming up a tad as the week goes on.   :( :( :(
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

Peaked at -3c thought about a freezing fog then changed it's mind... might come back as the temps fall tonight...  :-X

Digeroo

The fog has sublimated into hoar frost and everyhing is covered in a layer of white.  Every twig and spiders web is a work of art.  It looks stunning.

Here in Fife I have over a foot of snow in the garden, accumulation from last week plus yesterday. Haven't been able to get down the garden yet but from the windows it looks as though two trees have been badly damaged by the weight of snow. Christopher Lloyd said this kind of thing is an opportunity to do some new planting - we shall see....

Fortunately we live within (difficult) walking distance of shops so food isn't a problem but haven't been able to get the car out since the weekend before last. All meetings since then have been cancelled anyway. Using the time to catch up on all kinds of bits of work that have been on the back burner for quite a while.

No buses, no trains, so husband hasn't been able to get to work in Edinburgh - boo hoo!

Beautiful bright sunny day and -7C...
the monkeys are singing soprano...  ;D

well its castrato forecast for tonight  ;D but astonishingly the temp is about to jump up at least 10 degrees, positively tropical, will have to get the bbq going - love that advert, that's me all over, having a barbie in mid winter  ;D

gwynnethmary

Hartlepool is still bitterly cold, but the snow forecast for yesterday didn't materialise, and so we just await the thaw that's supposedly coming at the weekend- it'll take a good one to get rid of all this snow and ice- can't believe we've had it lying for two weeks now- it hardly ever stays this long on the coast.

15 car pile up on the m62, east lancs grid locked, we're supposed to be doing a food run for Ray's mum this afternoon , hope it warms up a bit  :-\

Borlotti

The sun if out in Enfield, but it is still cold. Thinking about going to tennis if it warms up after lunch.  ;D ;D ;D

saddad

Sunny here, just above freezing which is nice. Sorry to hear about the smash...

grawrc

2 degrees in Edinburgh today and the sun is shining and the snow is melting where the sun hits it. Mind you there's almost 2 feet of the stuff still where we haven't cleared it so it could take a while!! Hard to believe it was - 16 yesterday!
