Just in case anyone has missed it - we are having an A4A get-together at Walsall Road Allotments, Perry Barr, Birmingham B42 2LR this Saturday, August 14th.

It is also our Summer Fayre so the gates will be opening at 12 to the public.  If you are coming but not sure what time you will arrive, I can PM you my mobile number and will come to the gate and let you in if you arrive  early. Please let me know.

Shirl's suggestion of A4A'ers carrying a Wilkinson bag is a good one.  If I remember, I'll get a few extra bags today and leave them with the men on the gate for those who don't have one on the day.  Maybe we should have a meeting-point (marked by a Wilkie carrier bag?) and be there at a certain time?  What do people think?  Mind you, if there are only a few of us it might not be necessary.

I will be able to spend time with the group (lucky group  ;D)  because I don't run a stall any more.  I used to do the cakes but it was impossible to deal with all the extras that go with organising and also run a stall at the same time.  I still provide cakes though.

There should be plenty to do and lots of things for you to spend your money on!  Every penny we raise is divided between Macmillan and the County Air Ambulance.

Hope the rain stays away, but there is lots of cover if it doesn't.

I can't wait to put a face to all the names Betty. I really do like open days like this where you know its all going to charity especially Macmillan and the Air Ambulance
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Same here Shirl, we find people are really generous about giving to these two charities.  The first year we did it, one of the visitors had actually been rescued by the Air Ambulance and she gave us a lovely big donation.

That's good - not that you'll be late but that you are coming!
Shall I save you some cake?  Carrot/orange, Gingerbread or Chocolate, all dairy-free.
