Allotments 4 All

I promise this will be the only plug for this...........

Our first NGS Open Day of the year is happening this Sunday 6th June, 11am -5pm.

You can park on Littleover Lane, entry is £3 (goes to the NGS charities) and we have over 170 plots to browse around. There will be plant sales (heritage toms, bedding plants, herbaceous and unusual veg) at bargain prices, and the tea tent will be up offering the lovely carrot cake and famous locally made fresh samaosas as usual. Got soaked last June but the tea tent alone was worth it!

Thank goodness the outlook is for scorchio sun this time.....I nearly drowned last June! ::) ;D

Wish we were coming Deb but if we don't go daughters plot the weather looks to hot for me & we have lots to catch up on. I tend to hibernate when the sun comes out. I dread a HOT Summer, warm is OK but not HOT. Sorry to those folks who thrive in the heat but I don't.
It would have been lovely to meet up with A4Aers.

I'm off to get the cakes later today, samosas fresh first thing tomorrow ..... looks like I'm going to be on various stalls all day, might have to put my mum on my plot to talk to folk, that will be a laugh! ;D

We've had heavy rain overnight... thunderstorms etcetera but the sun is breaking through now...  ;D

It wasn`t wet at all! I had a lovely visit, talked to some nice people and had a lovely tea! :) :)

My dad has sent a few pics of the Open Day, mostly on my plots but a few of the workers too....... and yes it was actually sunny enough I had to wear shades most of the time! ;D Good day had by all!
