Hi there,

We have a silver birch in our garden that stands no more than 6 ft tall. It is just trimmed to keep it to the size and shape that we want and it responds really well. Hope this helps  :)

Lovely offer, we got free trees for school a couple of years ago..about 4 inches high, they were so cute. XX Jeannine

Not that strange really, iven that toilet paper is made from trees! I've also sent for a Rowan.

Ouch that reminds me of Izal loo rolls........ bit like sand paper!.
Ignore me I'm having a breakdown.

Bump!

Has anyone received their tree yet? I'm still waiting.

Yes they said Sept-Oct..but it will be far too early..saplings have not gone dormant yet..and lifting so early would be totally waste of time..that's if they are bare rooted. I suspect it will be from November onwards.

Stopp

Received mine at the end of september. Came in a cardboard tube about a foot tall.  I ordered the pine and looks ok, will try and get a photo on for you all later.

I got mine about two weeks ago. It was so dry that the only use left for it was toilet paper. I did try to revive it but it was just to far gone :'(

My Rowan tree finally arrived this morning - a stick about 25 cm long. I have it in water and will plant it near my front gate tomorrow. That is only 2m from the house wall, so it may have to be removed if it gets too big - but I imagine I will be long gone by that time  ;D.

my stick tree arrived yesterday, any leaves that were on it fell off taking it out of the tube, but there are a couple of buds on it so im hopeful it will be ok  :)

Still waiting for mine

caroline7758

Got my rowan today. :D Some brown leaves but the top growth looks good.

goodlife

Yes mine came too ;D...the hessian bag that the rootball was in looks good but it is not the best idea..I was struggling to get it out >:(...and instructions said.."to get it out without causing damage.." ::)
They have spend some money for fancy packageing...no wonder their loo paper costs so much ::)

caroline7758

Can anyone tell me how far away from the house my rowan should be planted (I only have a small garden so might have to sneak it onto my allotment!)

gp.girl

I got 2  ;D

Didn't even ask for 2  ???

Both healthy just need to find two places to put them......

Hessian bag is rather silly and certainly misses the eco point  :-[
