Angle,

I've got no idea what the prices are on this site and whether they're any good but I bookmarked it some time last year as I was thinking of surprising my husband with a similar thing.  We've since booked 18 days in Canada so won't be doing this after all!

Hi

Yes we went a few years back to the ice hotel we got the over night train and stayed at the hotel (warm rooms not the ones made of ice) for 2 nights and then the overnight train back.

We went on a snowmobile trip and saw the lights - amazing !!

16250 kroner per person = approx £1750

Growing up in the Highlands we'd get them every winter. They're all right, but at the risk of sounding like a heathen, I certainly wouldn't spend the best part of £2k on them. It's just lights in the sky - much better to buy a kaleidoscope & go sit on a beach in the Canaries for a quarter of the price!

I've been to the Blackpool Illuminations... does that count? ;D
