Allotments 4 All

Back in September my friend Mary whose name was on the wating list for a plot and works plots 49 and 50 with me was told that if we cleared the 10 ft bambles adjoing these plots she could have plot 51, the last plot on our side. This plot had not been touched in decades and still contained the structure of the original site's toilet- a bucket and chuck it job. With the help of a very kind plot holder who has done nearly all of the donkey work, the plot is now cleared and on it's way to being productive. A few pictues of the progress since September

Looks like she had alot of junk on there. We did not have too much much of this on our plot, just alot of weeds. It was probably only 3 car loads to the tip, which could have been worse. The problem with a neglected site is that he is prone to fly-tipping.

a lot of hard work gone into it.my friend took on the plot next to mine ,it was all brambles and couch grass,it is cleared now,but with some luck the scrap metal man passing the site took the bike frames wheels and other such stuff and with the council supplying its twice yearly skip the plot was easily cleared
you will soon have a plot to be proud of

Nice work!  We hope  in the Spring after all the years it has been idle you dig up some interesting finds, gold pieces of eight, whatever.
