Because Boxing day fell on a Saturday is it not a bank holiday today  ???,

far as I know it is  ;D

With all the bonuses surely they don't get extra holidays as well. They should be hard at it putting all their mistakes wrong. Also as we are major shareholders in their business's they should listen to us when we say NO.

Just wondered as all the shops seemed to open as normal and all the buses are running this morning, allways thought it was Sunday hours on a bank holiday.

but we will get an extra one in 2012to celebrate the Queen's 60 Jubilee. So let's just hope she doesn't abdicate or peg it before then  :D or that the world hasn't ended before then either

it might have been 'sunday hours' in the 'good old days', but today, if a shop can open for trade, it will!!
(don't blame the shops, blame the folk who can't / won't stay at home, prefering  to clog up roads, town centres, and in a round-about way they force poor shop staff/ bus/tram drivers etc to work on bank holidays) ;)

Yes it is a bank holiday, years ago my mate and myself at the annual work pay talks made sure that our built in working bank holidays were defined as 5 only, forseeing that there would be extra bank holidays coming up over the years.     ;)     ;D ;D ;D

Well i can think of better things to do than walk round shops looking at tat in the sales on me days off.
