I have just read that GW is back on the 25th feb and it will be on for an hour each friday, good news for those who like the program. I do  :) :D ;D.

No mention of the BBC, or any other source for that matter.  I assume you saw the post on the BBC board subsequently?

Garden Manager

I know now why we dont discuss TV on here.

It causes too much agro!!!!  >:(

I am now going to apologise and shut up. :-[

Mrs Ava

Not agro Richard, just good healthy heated discussions.  Nothing wrong with that.  ;D

aquilegia

I saw Weekend Gardeners on digital the other day. Have you ever noticed CB's arms. Those are good arms. (It's just a shame he's so fair, otherwise I'd be joining the fan club!)

And GW is back the Friday after my birthday, what a lovely present from the BBC!
gone to pot :D

Hi Girls

Can I join in a throw a spanner in the works?   ;)

Monty and Chris are OK, although I think Monty is a bit of a stunt gardener (knows nothing and gets others to do the hard bits, like growing the things), and Rachel really only provides interest for the male viewer

BUT

Sarah Raven really needs to go.  I rellay want to burn that old cardigan and wellies she wears :P

It's funny, but I rather warmed to SR. Even Mr Aqui finds her excentrically amusing. I'm even beginning to like Monty a bit more too. They really do need more down-to-earth gardeners, though. Although not the "albatros stuck up his nose" of JS - as Mr Aqui described him this morning.
gone to pot :D

I just say

Bring Back Alan and Pippa

Mrs Ava

Oh I am with you 100% Loz.  Monty drives me mad, the women are possibly worse!  Chris is the only reason to tune in as to be honest, like with the mags, after watching it since I was a wee one, things just seem to get repeated and repeated and repeated.

wattapain

And I say - Bring back Bob Flowerdew! ;D

derbex

Can't stand Alan -professional 'son of the sod', prefer Monty, but I really want Bob.

Mimi

Nooooo  Girls.... you can have your CB.. Montys the man for me  :-* :-* Very hunky chunky.  :-*  Phwaaaaar
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Alan's grown on me a bit too now. His enthusiasm and passion for plants is really infectious. I've never seen Bob on tele, but like what I've read of his and he's good on GQT (when I remember to tune in for it!) Pippa is great.

So my dream GW presenters would be:
Bob and Pippa (just doing organic veg), CB building stuff and digging, Alan talking about ornamentals, Sarah Raven doing her excentricity stuff, and JS being shot. ;D
gone to pot :D

Oh yes, I have indeed.  ;)

Mrs Ava

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :-*

Geoff Hamilton for me, altho his tastes were rather expensive.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmChris.........

loz

This gets better!!!!

I forgot about ol' Bob.  Good all round knowledge, an appreciation of chickens (!) and full of ideas about how easy it is to grow unusual stuff.................

(Mind you I'd loose the dodgy pony tail and rubber tyres)

Loz

Aquilegia I agree with you for the dream team, but would put SR on the compost heap b4 shooting JS  ;)
