D'you listen?

I've always been a fan of Anne Swithinbank and Bob Flowerdew from when Geoff Hamilton did GW.  To my mind, while TV gardening had steadily declined, GQT is as good a listen as ever - gardening advice for average gradeners.

I agree.  Good advice from people who know their stuff for real gardeners.  I went to a local recording of the programme  with Bob F, Anne S and Bunny Guinness and they took one of my questions.

Another GQT fan here although I'm afraid I cannot abide Bunny Guinness.  My ideal panel is Bob Flowerdew, Anne Swithenbank and either Chris Beardshaw (such a lovely voice as well as sound organic principles) or John Cushnie (for his humour).

Yup another fan here. Always lots of interesting tips and ideas. Mind you I have to say I hated that "soap box" thing they did a while ago and it seems to have ended now anyway  :)

Unwashed

Yes, I don't think the soap box worked very well.  And yes, I find everything about Bunny Guiness very irritating.

re Bunny Guiness - the funniest thing was her describing her dream potting bench which was followed by Bob Flowerdew describing his actual one. They couldn't have been further apart if they had tried  :D

I'm a big fan of GQT.

1. Roy Lancaster     - Wonderful presenter and supreme designer/gardener/plant hunter
2. Bob Flowerdew   - Big respect for his down to earth gardening and recycling.
3. John Cushnie      - Quite funny
4. Bunny Guinness  - Nice arse

I to hear Pippa Greenwood on GQT.   Love her enthusiasm for bugs etc..

Our allotments hosted GQT three years ago.  They recorded it in a local church hall and also came to the allotments with Chris Beardshaw to do a feature on some new plotholders.  Kay Alexander from the Midlands Today news also came.

After the GQT recording Matthew Biggs came off the stage to chat to people.  He is such a lovely person with no airs and graces and had all the time in the world to spend with us.

He contacted me following the show about a book he was writing.  He interviewed me and used some of my allotment photos in it.

My favourite recent question.

'Have the panel any ideas on how I can get my wife to come in from the garden and make my supper'?  ;D

I listen when I remember- always thought Sunday afternoon was a silly time to have a gardening programme on, but now I listen on my phone if I'm at the allotment.
