i wouldn't mind trying a few. are they collard greens?

are you hankering after anything?

I wouldn't mind trying a few.  is there anything you would like yourself?

Squash64

Yes, they are collard greens.  My American friends brought me the seeds a few years ago and I've grown them every year since.  My husband really likes them.

These are seeds I've saved from this year's crop.

I can't think of anything I need at the moment, thanks.

If you both PM me your addresses, I'll get some off to you.

When should they be planted? I already have some, but I'm not sure what to do with them.

I'm by no means an expert Robert, but I plant them in early spring in trays in the greenhouse then outdoors when they are big enough.  I don't grow any other brassicas apart from these.

Collard greens are  popular in the produce dept on this side of the pond, very good for you.
Down in the southern states they have pigs feet and collard greens.
We don't, we have them just like any other dark greens.
Mostly if they have cabbage over here it's as cabbage rolls or coleslaw, they wouldn't know what to do with a nice Greyhound cabbage, qahtan

Would anyone like a few collard seeds?  Yes please but what are they?  Had a quick google and they seem to be spring greens, but seems an odd time to plant them.

My spring greens were sown in July and are just waiting for a drop of rain to be planted out.

Yes, they are similar to spring greens.  My friends brought me a packet of seeds from the US where they are very popular in the southern states.

I'm offering the seeds now because I've just collected them from the plants.  I will sow more in the early spring, they grow very quickly.

I have just a few left - would you like them?
