The top leaves on my sweet peppers are distorted and crinkly. Can anyone suggest a cause? They are all inside and are between 6 and 10" tall (sown quite late). I have had a problem with sciarid flies- could this be the reason?

That sounds very much like a fly(green, white whatever) to me-time to get out the savona??

As Cleo says more than likely  white fly on the underside of the leaves.

Quotecrinkly.

This suggests to me that they have had a bit too much sun!

All should be OK providing the growing tip hasn't frazzled!

They are crinkly as in distorted, rather than crispy, TG. Can't seeany whitefly or greenfly (unlikemany other things growing here- where are allthe ladybirds this year?). But they are on a sunny windowsill so maybe they have had too much sun. Will watch and wait!

I had that last week and sprayed with something called bug clear.

This week, they are thriving and clean.

Windowsill + double glazed window  = burnt leaves.
