Spare a thought for those of us, like me, who feel rather frazzled in this hot (over 30C) and humid weather!
My joints suffer, particularly in my hands which means that I can't grip or type well. I can't water or weed on the plot which is particularly annoying.
I could take the medication I have but the side effects are even worse!
Stay cool!  8)

Bad luck Flighty. You must be so fed up with it all.

Feeling like a limp lettuce myself.Going down to the plot late evenings.

Betula thanks!  Just a bit,  but I don't begrudge those who do like it.
I've been consoling myself when I do go by eating the raspberries and picking yet more strawberries!

OH just got back from shops and said a lot of fat ladies out there had a lot of flesh showing and 'things' hanging out.  Don't think it did a lot for him, and I got told off for showing my knickers under my short shorts, so had to put trousers on to go to the allotment, but sadly Joe Swift hasn't been there this week, and the rumour was that he was filming 'his weeds'.  I am as thin as a stick insect although I eat plenty, so haven't got a lot hanging out.  :( :( :(

Im sorry to hear about those of you that suffer medically when the weather is hot, chin up thats the good thing about the UK it could be snowing next week ha ha

It does zap your energy though just been into the town to get a few bits and bobs Im knackered now! Just sat here catching up with email and forums etc could go to sleep!!!!

Will go into the garde later do some weeding and tidying up then a lovely cold shower had one last night after the initial shock it was fantastic!

"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

In the summer of 1976 I was a 13/14 year old (it's my birthday today) paper boy delivering to the houses along the coast in South Shields which is normally freezing. I couldn't wait to finish the round so I could get down to the beach and into the North Sea  :o
It's the only time I can remember where I could spend half an hour in the water without losing all feeling, it was a great year to be a kid.  :)

I hear on the news all these people saying that this weather doesn't amount to much because people regularly go on holiday to places that are just as hot.

Well for someone like me who doesn't take foreign sunny holidays at all this weather is something I find very hard to handle. And I'm only in the North East of Scotland where it is 26/27 deg C. But my veggie patch is in an enclosed area with tallish hedges and walls and the thermometer (in the shade) has got up to 32 deg C.

Ughhh. I'm just melting.

Well in that case a bit of good news for you :)

Here in not so sunny Pembrokeshire it has been lashing it down since about dinnertime, still plenty of grey clouds around but the temprature has dropped dramatically.

THe good news is according to the weatherman it is blowing its way towards you over night, as well as the north of England.

Some parts fo the country have had floods so I read  :o amazing how it can change so much and be so different within our little island.
